From a proven concrete batch plant manufacturer: Meet the Advantage 250 ™
As a leading concrete batch plant manufacturer, CMQ Engineering designs high-performance batching systems built for precision, consistency, and production efficiency. The Advantage 250™ represents the next evolution in aggregate blending and mix control…
Superior Concrete. Superior Consistency. Superior Speed.
Introducing the Advantage 250 ™ Concrete Batch Plant from CMQ Engineering. This is a complete, turnkey concrete batch plant that integrates precision in-line aggregate blending with CMQ’s Fast Cement™ chisel-nose silo delivery system for consistent, high-quality concrete production at 250 yards per hour.
The Advantage 250 uses precision in-line aggregate blending to produce high-quality concrete with superior strength and far greater batch-to-batch consistency than typical repose batching plants.
The Advantage 250 blends materials simultaneously in precisely mixed, ribboned layers instead of relying on gravity and free-fall. This approach minimizes segregation and voids, delivering a more uniform mix — while reducing both mixing time and mixer wear.
The result is concrete that performs better, tests stronger, and does it all at a production capacity up to 250 yards per hour.
The Advantage 250 concrete batch plant is one of our banner products, and we are very proud of what our team of engineers have completed. Capabilities include highly accurate VFD controlled weigh belts, ultra-durable CMQ shut-off gates, pulse filter cement weigh hopper to prevent stale cement, and available telescoping discharge chutes to facilitate both front and rear discharge concrete trucks. You will be unable to find another concrete batch plant that is superior to the Advantage 250 in terms of quality, capability, and technology.

Components of the Advantage 250™ Concrete Batch Plant
aggregate blending system
This is where the magic happens.
Using a precision-controlled, in-line system to blend graded aggregates in ribboned layers, the aggregate blending unit is available in configurations with 3, 4, or more bins to suit your production needs. Each aggregate bin feeds onto its own dedicated weigh belt, allowing materials to be measured accurately and in real time as they move to the collecting conveyor. Unlike traditional repose batching systems that drop one aggregate at a time into a weigh hopper to be weighed individually, the Advantage 250™ weighs all materials simultaneously.
As material from Bin #1 passes beneath Bin #2, a second layer is added, followed by a third from Bin #3. The final layer from Bin #4 is moistened sand. This layered process improves batching time while reducing noise and dust. The sand naturally encapsulates coarser aggregates, helping control dust and keeping materials blended as they move forward.
Blended aggregates are discharged onto the transfer conveyor and carried to the holding hopper, which is mounted on precision load cells for material weighing. Materials arrive uniformly combined and weight-verified, ensuring every batch begins with a balanced mix. This pre-blended, in-line approach significantly reduces segregation and variability common in repose batching systems, delivering more uniform aggregate distribution, tighter batch control, and a stronger foundation for consistent, high-quality concrete — load after load.
Aggregates are fully blended in ribboned layers, before they even reach the mixer truck.

Chisel Nose Cement Silos
No Stale Cement
1st Load in = 1st Load out.
CMQ Engineering’s Chisel Nose Silos, part of the Fast Cement™ system, are engineered for fast, even discharge of cement. Unlike traditional silos, where old cement clings to the sides and slows the flow, the chisel nose design ensures true first-in, first-out discharge — keeping cement fresh and flow consistent.
The Fast Cement™ system isn’t just about speed — it’s about quality, consistency, and reducing downtime. By preventing buildup and maintaining fresh flow, it improves batching accuracy and reduces waste. For plant operators, this means smoother operation, less maintenance, and confidence that every batch of concrete starts with the best raw materials.
Weighed Water System
Weighed water systems provide the most accurate, reliable, and efficient method for controlling water content in concrete — making them the preferred choice for serious concrete producers. Unlike volumetric systems, weighed water measures exact quantities in real time, enabling faster batch cycles without sacrificing precision. By eliminating variability and manual adjustments, weighed water streamlines plant operation while delivering confidence in meeting mix designs and performance requirements. The result is consistent slump, higher throughput, reduced waste, and efficient batching across every load.
The Advantage 250’s weighed water system is built for accuracy, reliability, and long-term performance in demanding plant environments. Engineered with proven components and precise load measurement, it delivers dependable operation with minimal maintenance — ensuring exact water control and consistent, high-quality concrete, batch after batch.
1/2-Rotary Cement shutoff gates
Part of CMQ Engineering’s Fast Cement™ System
Our Fast Cement™ system delivers measurable efficiency and reliability that translates into stronger, higher-quality concrete — batch after batch.
In addition to chisel nose silos, our specially-designed 1/2-rotary cement shutoff gates offer faster, more precise control with extended service life and minimal maintenance. Together, these components provide reliable, efficient cement handling that keeps your Advantage 250™ batch plant operating at peak performance.
Conveyors with Ribboned Layers of Aggregate
Aggregates that have been precision blended in ribboned layers are discharged from the aggregate blending unit to the charging conveyor. This is a unique and superior system of pre-blending compare with a typical repose batching machine.
All CMQ Conveyors Have:
- Sealed bearings, requiring minimum maintenance.
- Unique designed inclined troughing roller and return roller system which fits standard troughing frames.
- 1-3/16’’ gap between roller and frame, eliminating rock jamming.
Weighed Aggregate Holding Hopper
Blended aggregates are discharged from the charging conveyor into the aggregate holding weigh hopper. The holding hopper is large enough to hold a full load and provides weight verification for high accuracy.
The Advantage 250 ™ Outclasses the Competition
The Advantage 250 ™ concrete batch plant from CMQ Engineering will give you a competitive advantage by providing:
- Less noise
- Less dust
- Less maintenance
- Greater consistency
- High output
- Ability to increase capacity with more bins

Trucking Throughput: More Loads, Faster Delivery
A traditional 120 yd³/hr concrete batch plant can load 12 trucks per hour when running 10-yard batches. That’s a solid pace for many operations — but it also sets a clear ceiling on daily production. Compare that to a 250 yd³/hr plant like the Advantage 250, capable of loading 25 trucks per hour with the same 10-yard batches. More trucks dispatched in the same amount of time means less waiting at the plant, tighter scheduling, and the ability to keep large pours and fast-moving projects supplied without interruption.
Simply put: more loads, faster turnaround, and greater control over your operation.
Large-Pour Efficiency: Fewer Interruptions
For a 500-yard commercial slab, a 120 yd³/hr plant would require roughly 4 hours of continuous production. Real-world conditions — truck travel, loading, and minor operational pauses — can push that closer to 4.5 hours, or more. A 250 yd³/hr plant, on the other hand, could complete the same slab in about two hours, even considering realistic delays. Faster production reduces the number of separate pours, minimizes cold joints, and keeps the slab uniform and strong, while cutting time on-site and lowering labor and equipment costs.Peak-Demand Flexibility
During high-demand periods, such as large commercial projects or hot summer days, traditional plants often struggle to keep up. A 120 yd³/hr plant may meet peak demand, but the margin for error is tight — any delay in trucks or material delivery can slow the entire operation.
With a 250 yd³/hr Advantage 250™ plant, you can handle peak orders with confidence, delivering multiple high-volume loads simultaneously while keeping every truck moving and every mix consistent.
It’s the difference between “just enough” capacity, and a plant that performs reliably under real-world pressures.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Savings
Higher production capacity translates directly into real savings. A 250 yd³/hr plant produces more concrete per hour with fewer operational pauses, meaning less fuel, less labor, and less wear on equipment per yard compared to a 120 yd³/hr plant. Over the course of a week or month, this adds up
to thousands of dollars saved — all while delivering consistent, high-quality concrete for every job.
Faster production = fewer idle trucks, shorter shifts, and the ability to serve more customers without adding overhead.
Less Noise. Less Dust. Less Maintenance.
The Advantage 250™ takes the chaos out of batching with belt-fed aggregate metering that replaces noisy, gravity-fed clamshell gates. No more rock free-falling and banging against steel weigh hoppers — operations are significantly quieter, making the plant safer and more comfortable for workers. At the same time, aggregates emerge from the blending unit already coated in a layer of moistened sand, naturally suppressing dust. With no clamshell gates and fewer moving parts like air solenoids to replace, the plant requires less maintenance, lowering operating costs.Contact Us to Learn More About the Advantage 250 ™
