In the past, it was not uncommon to have a patch of ground in a dedicated corner of the batching yard for trucks to unload leftover concrete, then wait for it to cure, and have a crew break it up into pieces to be hauled away. Trucks returning from a site with leftover concrete is an unavoidable part of this business, but the way of handling leftover returned concrete has changed.

Now there are options for advanced concrete reclamation, and a CMQ recycled water stirrer is an important component in concrete recycling that helps make the process seamless, from start to finish. By forcing water down to the bottom of the slurry water holding pit, the water stirrer keeps the pit clean and guarantees the suspension of cementitious material in the water to be reused in the production of pre-mixed concrete.

Recycling Concrete

When recycling concrete leftover from a truck, concrete reclaiming equipment is used to separate the aggregate from the concrete slurry. The remaining slurry water is sent to a tank or pit, from where the water can be further cleaned or recycled back into cement production. While in this holding pit, the water must be constantly agitated to prevent the cementitious material from sinking to the bottom or from curing.

A Recycled Water Stirrer

Not all water stirring devices are the same. The recycled water stirrer from CMQ Engineering is ruggedly made from heavy material and is built to last. It has also been designed with fluid dynamics in mind. The blades are curved and angled in a way that makes it function like a turbo prop – increasing the flow of water to the bottom of the tank, which prevents build up and keeps all cement particles in a state of suspension. This is a proven design that is currently in use by companies around the globe.

Dependable Custom-Made Equipment

CMQ Engineering is at the forefront of custom mining and quarrying machinery and equipment technology and design. We’ve been doing this for years, and we want to put those years of experience to work for you.
