CMQ Engineering USA Exhibits at NRMCA ConcreteWorks 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee
Nashville, Tennessee: October 15–18, 2026 — CMQ Engineering USA joined ready-mixed concrete producers, equipment suppliers, industry professionals, and future industry leaders from across the country at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s (NRMCA) ConcreteWorks 2026 convention, held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
CMQ Engineering USA extends its sincere thanks to everyone who stopped by our exhibit hall booth. We appreciated the opportunity to meet representatives of ready-mixed concrete producers from across the United States, discuss the challenges facing today’s concrete producers, and introduce more industry professionals to CMQ’s approach to concrete production equipment.
These conversations are an important part of what makes industry gatherings like ConcreteWorks worthwhile. Behind every concrete plant are people responsible for production, quality, maintenance, safety, and customer service. Understanding their day-to-day challenges helps keep equipment innovation grounded in what matters most: producing consistent, high-quality concrete while improving efficiency and reliability.
Investing in the Future of the Concrete Industry
One particularly rewarding aspect of this year’s convention was meeting several Concrete Industry Management (CIM) students from Texas State University and South Dakota State University. We are grateful that these students took the time to visit our booth, learn about CMQ Engineering, and explore the equipment and technologies shaping modern concrete production. Their interest and engagement were encouraging reminders that the future of our industry depends not only on better equipment and processes, but also on developing the next generation of knowledgeable, capable concrete professionals.
The concrete industry offers a wide range of career opportunities, from production and quality control to engineering, operations management, equipment design, and business leadership. Programs such as CIM help prepare students to take on those responsibilities, and we applaud the universities, educators, and industry professionals who invest their time in developing tomorrow’s leaders.
To the students who visited us in Nashville: thank you for your interest and thoughtful conversations. We wish you success as you continue your education and prepare to contribute to this essential industry.
Recognizing the Professionals Behind the Wheel
While the exhibit hall provided valuable opportunities to discuss equipment, technology, and business, one event once again demonstrated the skill and professionalism that keep the ready-mixed concrete industry moving: the National Mixer Driver Championship.
CMQ Engineering USA congratulates every driver who qualified for and participated in this year’s competition.
Operating a ready-mixed concrete truck requires far more than the ability to drive a large vehicle. Drivers must manage demanding routes, changing site conditions, delivery schedules, vehicle safety, and the particular handling requirements of fresh concrete. They represent their companies at construction sites every day, often working under tight deadlines and in challenging conditions. Their judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism directly affect jobsite safety, customer satisfaction, and the quality of the finished work.
The Mixer Driver Championship provides a well-deserved opportunity to recognize those skills. Every competitor who prepared for the event and took on its challenges deserves credit for representing the profession with pride.
Congratulations as well to this year’s top finishers and to the companies, families, trainers, and colleagues who support these outstanding drivers. We appreciate everything ready-mixed concrete drivers do throughout the year to serve contractors, builders, and communities across America.
A Memorable Setting in Music City
ConcreteWorks 2026 offered an excellent setting for bringing the industry together. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is a destination in its own right, known for its enormous indoor garden atriums, winding waterways, lush landscaping, and distinctive glass-enclosed spaces. Its scale and variety of meeting and exhibition facilities made it a fitting gathering place for an industry whose work spans projects of every size.
Outside the convention center, Nashville offered its own attractions. Known internationally as Music City, Nashville combines a celebrated musical heritage with a growing economy, a lively downtown, and a strong identity rooted in Tennessee history and Southern culture. For convention attendees with time to explore, the city’s restaurants, music venues, and historic districts offered plenty of reasons to extend a business trip into a memorable visit.
Another Nashville landmark deserves special attention from anyone who appreciates construction and materials engineering: the Parthenon in Centennial Park.
Nashville’s full-scale replica of the ancient Greek temple was originally constructed for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition. After the original structure deteriorated, the city undertook a permanent reconstruction using reinforced concrete and other durable materials, completing the work in 1931. Today, the Parthenon stands as an architectural landmark and art museum, reflecting Nashville’s longstanding nickname, the “Athens of the South.”
It is an interesting reminder that concrete is not simply a material used to build roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure. When properly designed and executed, concrete can also help preserve cultural landmarks and architectural achievements for generations.
Thank You, Nashville
CMQ Engineering USA is grateful to NRMCA for bringing the ready-mixed concrete community together at ConcreteWorks 2026. We also thank the event organizers, exhibitors, industry associations, and everyone who helped make the convention a productive and enjoyable gathering.
Most importantly, thank you to the ready-mixed concrete producers and their representatives who visited our booth, the CIM students exploring their future in the industry, and the mixer drivers whose skill and professionalism deserve recognition well beyond a single competition.
The strength of the concrete industry comes from the people who design its equipment, operate its plants, deliver its products, and build the communities those products serve. We were proud to be part of this year’s gathering in Nashville and look forward to continuing the conversations that help move our industry forward.
