The aggregate blending unit can be positioned at different angles relative to the charging conveyor, from a fully linear 0-degree configuration to a 90-degree configuration. Intermediate angles, including 45 degrees, are also possible.

A 90-Degree Solution in Raleigh, North Carolina
An Advantage 250™ installation in Raleigh, North Carolina, provides a good example of how this flexibility can solve a difficult site challenge.
The Raleigh-area ready mix producer had a property with a limited linear footprint. Rather than forcing the plant into a conventional straight-line arrangement, CMQ Engineering positioned the four-bin aggregate blending unit at 90 degrees to the charging conveyor.
This perpendicular configuration allowed the high-production concrete batch plant to fit efficiently within the available property while maintaining the same production capacity and operating efficiency of the Advantage 250™ design.
The site’s natural topography provided another opportunity. The Raleigh plant was built into a hillside, with aggregate stockpiles located on an elevated paved drive above the blending unit. Front-end loaders can access the stockpiles from grade and load the aggregate bins directly, eliminating the need for a separate loading ramp.
The result is a ready mix plant layout designed around the actual property rather than a predetermined footprint.
